Transportation to Cheung Chau
You can take a ferry at Central Pier 5, which walks from Central MTR Station for 5-10 minutes. Sun Ferry provides ordinary ferry services and fast ferry services, which take about 55-60 minutes and 35-40 minutes respectively. The adult ticket single-trip range from $14.80 to $42.30. 1. Tin Hau Temple at Sai Wan
Tin Hau Temple at Sai Wan is on Cheung Chau West. You can walk to the right from Cheung Chau Pier, pass the Cheung Chau Market, and follow the signs for about 15 minutes until you arrive at Tin Hau Temple at Sai Wan. The history of Sai Wan’s Tin Hau Temple spans two centuries. It has a bronze bell from the Qianlong period and a religious monument honouring Tin Hau, the Goddess of the Sea.

2. Cheung Po Tsai Cave
Cheung Po Tsai Cave is the most well-known attraction in the island. During the Qing Dynasty, it was a pirate cave and Cheung Po Tsai’s hiding place. Cheung hid a lot of wealth here a long time ago. The entrance is narrow and only can fit one person, so visitors must be careful. Also, you should bring a flashlight because the cave is gloomy inside.

3. Cheung Chau rock carvings
Take a few minutes to walk along the path after exiting the Cheung Po Tsai Cave. You will see five crumbling boulders, which are one of the famous attraction – rock carvings. In addition to the numerous wild cacti that grew alongside the rocks, there are remnants of years of rail and wind erosion.

4. Cheung Chau Pier Pedestrian zone
After that, you can return to the Pier, which has a pedestrian area with a lot of stores, including restaurants, snack shops, and souvenir shops. You can eat famous food in Cheung Chau such as big fish balls, Ping On Bun, and Mango glutinous rice dumplings.

5. Lock Of Love
You will cross Lock Of Love, one of Cheung Chau’s well-known checkpoints, on your route to Tung Wan Beach. Lock Of Love is provided by B&B, there are many colorful wishing locks and love wooden are written by other visitors. You also can write your wishes or love declarations on the locks and lock them on the wall which is very meaningful.

6. Tung Wan Beach
Moving forward from Lock Of Love, you will arrive at Tung Wan Beach, the largest and most well-equipped beach in the island. The sand is clean and the water is clear, making it a good place for leisure and water sports.

7. Cheung Chau Seafood Street
After exploring Cheung Chau, you can go to Seafood Street to enjoy the delicious seafood set. There are many restaurants here, offering a variety of seafood and Chinese food. Why not have your dinner in here?
